I’d like to offer my sincere condolences to Robbie’s family, Robbie was a massive part of my life, I’ll always be thankful for the kindness and support he showed me. He was a true father figure to me. Rob cared for me as if I was his own and for that I will be eternally grateful.

It was always nice to catch up with Robert at family occasions etc, what would start out as a quick chat with him would end up in a debate about the world and its mother, with a lot of banter and slagging thrown in, but at the end of it all we always had a good laugh and enjoyed a pint or two!! A great character gone too soon, rest in peace cousin. X

He will be fondly remembered from our many years as children growing up, so happily, in Coolock and also as we grew older and our families have remained strong friends since. Deepest condolences to Rob's family and many friends on their sudden loss. I was fortunate to coach with Rob for three great years in Stella Maris and in that time got to know him well and was proud to call him a friend.

Rob got a lot from football but gave so much more and became known not only to players and parents in Stella Maris but across the wider Dublin football community for his outstanding work and dedication to the sport. He will be missed and remembered by all who knew him and I am sure he'll continue watching us all from the great dugout in the sky.
