ROBERT HUTSON CRAIG

Deepest sympathies Ursula and Rory on Rob's untimely passing. Many years ago i had the honour of singing in the chorus of his CSM productions of Amahl and the night visitors, Dido and Aeneas (on tour to Kilkenny Castle!) and Judith and Holofernes by his friend the late John Gibson RIP. Rob had a beautiful voice and a kind and patient soul. Always helpful and friendly to chat with. He will be greatly missed. Ar laimh dheis De go raibh a anam dilis.

Our deepest condolences to Ursula, Rory & all your families on both sides. We only heard the sad news, of Robert's passing, very recently. We're glad to have known him. He was such a lovely man with no pretentions. We often play his recordings on the Ursuline's cd As A Bell That Tolls. He had a beautiful voice. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Roberts passing. He was always a very pleasant man. I have very fond memories of him as a lecturer in the Cork School of music and soloist with the Fleischmann choir.

To Ursula and Rory. I was shocked to hear that Rob had been ill and had passed away. He visited me in CUH during my own recent illness. He was the man who gave me the confidence to go back singing after many years away. He said I was a 'gigger' which was good enough for me. Who else would have had me sing Eleanor Rigby with a string quintet and God Only Knows with a French horn and band. A kind and empathetic man who I will miss but is irreplaceable for you. My deepest condolences.
