Dear Sandra, Rachel, Hannah, Jonathan and family, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved Dad and best friend. I met Robert (and Sandra) through my parents (Charlie & Ursula) when he used to go out to the trials and lived in Dundrum. When I got my first job, I discovered it was in the same building as Ganly Walters in Fitzwilliam Square. And Robert kindly offered me a lift into work each day. Robert was a very kind and bubbly person, full of chat and always willing to help. RIP Robert, you will be truly missed.

Robert was a gentleman.
During my career I had a number of transactions with him and he always was very professional.

We soldiered together in Rathmines and Merrion Square many moons ago, and met Robert one Saturday recently having breakfast, and he hadn't changed a day. Fond memories of a true professional.
