My sincere condolences to Eve and all the McGahon family on the sudden passing of Robert. He was a lifelong friend and soulmate of my dad Gerry and great friend of our whole family. Generous & smiling I have great memories of Robert acting as chauffeur at mine and my sisters weddings. Such fond memories of my one trip to Cheltenham with Robert & my dad. It was great to see Robert & Eve this past summer in Ireland. RIP my friend Robert you will be sadly missed.

To the Mc Gahon Family , especially Roberts beloved wife Eve , his brothers Hugh , Fitzgerald , nieces Louise and Anne Marie and his extended Family, we extend our deepest condolences on his passing.
Robert loved life , hunting, fishing and especially golf but his lavish parties in his Hotel in Sandilands will long be remembered.
Robert was deeply religious and took great pride in the long Mc Gahon Family association with Kylemore where I shared many days salmon fishing with him .
He was also so very proud of the music and song of his extended family especially his nieces, nephews and his deceased brothers Niall ,Roderick.
He will be sadly missed in the Neptune Bar , Blackrock for his visits from Portugal and his love of “ Craic”.

We were devastated to hear the very sad news of Robert's sudden passing.

We always enjoyed our chats when we visited Vale do Lobo. Robert loved to talk about the happy times he spent in Kylemore Abbey in Connemara. He was a lovely man and we will really miss his smiling face, he will always remain in our thoughts.

I still cannot believe that Bob will not walk into Aldinha's cafe in Almancil to join us for coffee and a baguette as he did most mornings after golf. He was always jovial and most generous of Spirit. Adored Evie and his family and was always thinking of others and how he could improve their lives. The day before Bob passed away he was with us and no thought of the disaster to come.
