Robert (Robbie) McCabe

I had the pleasure of working with and shadowing Robbie during his time as a Home Support Worker. It was very clear to see from day one that Robbie was someone very special. He was ideally suited to the role and tuck to it like a duck to water and went above and beyond the call of duty for his clients and was well loved by both his clients and staff.

We both shared a love for Manchester United and and had many great chat about football.

Robbie spoke fondly about family and was over the moon when he met his wife Ashling and later became a father.

He had a very positive attitude and outlook on life and right through his illness never lost him positive attitude on life.

My deepest condolence to his wife , son and family.

Robbie i only got to know you a short while but it was memorable. You made me laugh so much.
Next time i am in the snug i will pour a Heineken in your honour.

So sorry to hear the sad news of Robbies passing, i have fond memories of him as an apprentice electrician, always a smile on his face and up for a laugh.

Sometimes there really are no words and this is the saddest of all. Myself and my mother only knew Robbie for a short while through being my mam’s carer from Rehab. He was the single most professional and kind person we have ever met. We’ve talked about him regularly, always meaning to call to see him. We’re devastated to read this news.
