Robert (Robin) Featherstone

We were so sorry when we hear that Bob passed away the week after we came back to The Residences this spring.
We are so grateful for all the joyful memories together with Bob, specially teaching him some secrets in golf! We appreciated the two weeks together with Bob summertime in Sweden! We also loved the day trips when we went to have some tapas lunches in Ayamonte, Spain!
We miss you Bob, see you another time! RIP

I only knew Robin for a short time at The Residences in Vilamoura. I wish I had known him longer. Such a lovely gentleman. He will be sadly missed. RIP Robin.

Robert was more than a patient and more than a neighbour, he was a true friend. An extraordinary person, generous in spirit, steady in character, and a loyal companion in every sense of the word.
His presence brought warmth, dignity and quiet strength to those around him. The Residences benefited deeply from his commitment, his sense of responsibility, and his willingness to contribute. Without him, our community is undeniably poorer.
I am profoundly grateful for his friendship, his example, and all that he gave so selflessly.
My heartfelt condolences to his entire family.

I used to see Robert walk past my apartment most days as he tried to walk every day. He was a very jolly person. Recently my little dog got lost and he found her in the garage and kindly brought her back to me.
I was very sad to hear of his passing and send my condolences to his family.

Very sad to hear such shocking news of Robins passing.My condolences to Ian and family.Robin was my boss when I worked in the plex in Blanch and great boss always winding eachother up.He was a slagging fecker but knew we could give and take the banter with eachother,use to laugh when he kept telling me i had a beer belly when i was pregnant.He had some things i agreed with like his choice of football team,Gunners all the way.Will miss him and may he Rest in Peace.

So sorry to hear of Robins death . He was a fantastic person . I have fond memories of his help when the Coliseum SportsBowl Cork opened and for many years later . He was a pleasure to be with , always witty and courteous . He was customer focused and an outstanding Manager . May he rest in peace .

My heart is broken, Robin took me under his wing at 15 and supported me through the hardest times of my life he was a an absolute diamond. He saved me. He was a fantastic boss. Ian he was such a private man back then but spoke of you with such pride he loved you dearly. He was like a 2nd father to me I loved him dearly and am devastated to hear of his passing. I’m hopeful he spent his last days on the golf course in Portugal in the place he loved doing what he thought he could do best!

When i started working in the plex many years ago, I got to experience Robins kindness, humour and great fun. He was a boss I would often think of and appreciate the advice he gave along the way.
