So sorry to hear the sad news of Roddy's passing from Mike Kiernan. Roddy was perhaps the warmest and most generous spirited man I have ever met.
My thoughts and warmest wishes go to Kathleen and family.
With love,
Lyndsay

Very sad to hear the passing of Roddy ( Mr Day) was a pupil in St. Mary Queen of Angels. Roddy was my Teacher for 2 yrs. I am now teaching 33 years. Sleep tight Roddy. Condolences to his Wife and Family
The best teacher and sports coach ever in ballyfermot my he rest in peace.
Sad news today about our good friend Roddy ,
When you mention Roddys name in Ballyfermot you always get the same reaction from all his past pupils in the Mary Queen of Angels school, I really liked him, what a testament to a teacher,,always put the boys first and had great respect for the parents of Ballyfermot.
Roddy was also involved in various community projects and was also a film star with small part in the film "Down the Corner" that was made in Ballyfermot in 1977.
A man before his time.
Condolences from all his friends in the Ballyfermot Community Arts Workshop.
