To Anne, John, Michael and all the Keane family, my sincere condolence. I was deeply saddened today to learn of the passing of Roger. As many have said already one of life's true gentlemen. I am so disappointed to have missed Roger's funeral and not have the opportunity to pay my respects to a lovely man. I had the pleasure of sharing an office with Roger in Hawkins House for a number of years and we had some great laughs together. I can still hear his hearty laugh reverberating around the small office. He was so calm, kind, gentle and funny - I admired and respected him so much. Roger will be deeply cherished by those who were fortunate to know him and I know you will miss him greatly. Ni bheidh a leithead ann aris.

Sad to hear of Rogers passing. Condolences to Anne and family. I have very clear memories of one of our earliest Light Entertainment shows. Dear Anne and Family,

We'd like to extend our sincere sympathy to you on Roger's passing.

He was not only my cousin but a dear friend, We had many great chats but sadly not enough of them. At times like this, I regret not having made a greater effort to see him more often over the years. I often picked his brain on Irish affairs on visits home. He was always insightful and witty.

We'd also like to send condolences to Mary, John David and Margaret and all the Keane family.

Sincere sympathy to all of Roger's family. Roger is my Dad's cousin, best man, great friend and gentleman. I worked close to him for a couple of years on Tara St. I remember us crossing the street one day in the middle of a farmer protest and being slagged of for having "lovely suits". Both of us remained silent and walked on in the irony of it all. John and Michael, your tributes were beautiful and will live in my memory with your Dad. Many eulogies end with "he was the best father one could have hoped for". Not all can be right but I'm guessing this one was. Sorry we didn't get to meet. Perhaps in time. RIP Roger.
