Liebe Enny, liebe Myriam und Irene, lieber Ivo und lieber Arthur, und die vielen Anderen.
Unsere Fußspuren trennen gute siebzehn Längengrade, zuviel für einen gelegentlichen Kaffee.
Es haftet aber in der Erinnerung die Begegnung mit Rolf und den anderen Menckes, als unsere Olga und ichselbst vor mehr als zwanzig Jahren in Kenmare verweilten.
Rolf liebte das Wasser, wie er betonte. Auch deswegen bleibt uns die Bootsfahrt zur Skellig Michael, unter mäßigem Wind und langer leichter Dünung, unvergeßlich.
Über der Rolfgestalt auf der Titelseite der Familienkronik von Rolf und Enny Mencke, bildet sich ein leichter Schleier.

Wir wünschen euch allen, vor allem aber dir Enny, viel Kraft, ein wenig Humor und guten Mut für die Zukunft.
