Deepest sympathy to the O Rourke family on the sad passing of Ron . The word ‘gentle man ‘ is easily bandied about but in Ron’s case he truly was a gentleman . I had the pleasure of working with Ron in CIE , Civil Engineers , an excellent carpenter and cabinet maker , way back in the 60s . We had great fun in the carpenters shop . A talented musician / singer also . Ron you will be sadly missed in Rosslare Harbour . May you gentle soul for ever rest in peace .

Our deepest sympathy to Alan, Eamonn, Siobhan and Brian on the very sad passing of their dear father Ron, he was such a kind and generous person and also a father figure to me when I was a young man trying to find my way in the world, he always managed to convince me that everything would work out for the better in the end and I thank him for it. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
