Ronan Caffrey

It is with great sadness and shock that I have learned of Ronan's passing. Ronan called in to us here at Natural Tile and Marble to collect pallets for his grandson every Friday. We would sit and have lovely chats, he loved nothing more than telling stories about his lovely family and he always had a great holiday planned. He had many kind words when our own Dave (Bugsy) passed away two years ago. He will be sorely missed. Sincere Condolences to Dinah and all the family . Rest in peace Ronan.

He was a very accommodating man who made our trips to France so interesting with his vast knowledge of the Normandy D-Day landings and all things Military.

Summer -95 I spent three months in Drogheda. I stayed in Caffrey´s B&B and travelled every day with Caffrey´s Taxi to and from my job at Thorsman Ireland Ltd. Dinah and Ronan were a wonderful support to me during this time. My deepest sympathy to Dinah and family on the very sad passing of Ronan, a true gentleman. May he rest in Peace.

Very Sorry to hear of the passing of Ronan. I knew Ronan as a neighbour in Yellowbatter and in Latter years as an employee at the Irish Military War Museum in Collon where he would entertain us with his vast knowledge of history and great stories of his travels.
A true Gentleman.

One of my earliest memories is Ronan giving cpr to one of his canaries! I cant remember if the canary lived or died but I definitely remember how much he loved them. I always thought that was why he loved going to Tenerife...because he loved Canaries!
A huge portion of my childhood memories are from all the time we spent in Yellowbatter and MapleDrive. I especially remember how good Ronan was to Mammy when she was sick and will forever be grateful.
My heart goes out to you Dinah, Annmarie and Martin. Sending you love and prayers.
