Ronan Doyle

I am so very sorry and sad for Linda and family and for the wider Doyle family on the loss of Ronan.May he rest in peace. Ronan was one of Nature’s great gentlemen and growing up beside the Doyles in Balgriffin in the early 70s was the best of times. We roamed Belcamp and the adjoining fields and made our own fun and devilment in a beautiful and innocent time ( no iPhones !)Ronan reconnected with me over a decade ago. It was such a gift to rekindle the old bond. Any chat or meeting was uplifting and positive. He loved his family. He loved life. He was a good and kind and thoroughly decent man. RIP Ronan. A true gentleman. Ronan would call to the factory once a month for his work. He would always stop for a chat. Ronan would often bring me over a jar of his honey from his own bees, he was very proud of that and it was the nicest honey too. We had great chats about anything and everything, the shape of the political world and he knew how to fix it all. Very smart and funny guy. Condolences to all his family and friends.

Working with Ronan many years ago, I remember him so fondly. He was a true gentleman and so kind. He was a pleasure to work with out on site, driving around in his jeep, taking water samples from wells with him and having lovely conversations.

We are very sorry for the loss of Ronan. He was a lovely warm person. He was very kind to me his younger cousin. Once when I was staying over in Auntie Annie's I couldn't sleep with all of us sharing a huge bedroom as small children. Ronan whispered over to me, "I'll stay awake until you fall asleep."
