I’m so deeply saddened to hear the news of Ronan’s passing. I have so many lovely memories of Ronan, from Renmore primary school and hanging out in his house eating curry chips when we should have been in school. The summer we spent together in San Francisco, what a laugh… Ronan you lit up every room with your great sense of humor and kindness. You will be missed beyond belief.

My deepest condolences to you all. Ronan was a truly wonderful person, and I have such fond memories of working with him at Glenlo Abbey. I’ll never forget our first helicopter spin together from there—the laughs and craic we used to have. He was one of those people, that no matter how many years it was since you met him it was like you only spoke a few weeks ago. May his kind and gentle soul rest in peace.

Ronan, you were the brightest shining light in college. I’m thinking of every heartbroken family member, friend & anyone who had the pleasure of knowing you.

Our sincere condolences to Grainne, Gabriel, Grainne, Martha and extended family. It was the most heartbreaking news to receive, we still can’t quite believe it. Ronan had such a genuine kindness that could make you feel so special. His laughter was infectious, and he always had a way of making everything seem brighter.
Our thoughts are with all of you during this incredibly difficult time. He will always be remembered fondly, and his spirit will live on in all the hearts he touched.
I have the fondest memories of Ronan from my childhood. Every year we would stop in Galway before heading to Carraroe on our holidays. He would bring myself and Ans down to the shops and we had the best of laughs with him. He treated us with such warmth as if he seen us everyday.
Ronan, you will be missed by so many but I know your dad will take good care of you and make sure you have a pint with our Ans.xx

I had the privilege of knowing Ronan since we were both in our early teens & I can’t believe he is gone, it is incomprehensible given his big beautiful life force. I have so many wonderful memories of him.

Ronan was a huge force in the world. His light was immense, when he walked into a room he lit it up. He wanted that party started! Given his energy whatever he turned his attention to was organised and executed with precision and ease. He had a huge heart and his kindness generosity and sense of fun was magnetic.
As a result of these qualities you could always call him if you had a problem, as he had amazing ability to diminish any perceived crisis, suddenly it wasn’t such a big deal and the bit he could recognise was a problem would be resolved.


I travelled through India with Ronan, in my twenties it is a trip I will always remember not so much for the beauty and wonder of India which was certainly a factor, but rather for the fun and laughter of the experience. Ronan was always up for a laugh, a glass of wine and lots and lots of silk cut purple. He will be truly missed.

Goodbye my friend, sleep well. I hope you have a few beveys and a packet of fags as you look down on us.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear that Ronan has passed away and my deepest sympathy to his family. I feel his loss so much I can only imagine what you must be going through.
We worked together in BMR many moons ago and kept in contact over the years.
He was always the best of company with clear insights and such good fun. I'm so glad we got to have had a night of chats and laughs with him recently and I was looking forward to many more.

Thinking of Ronan’s family at this desperately sad time. I hope you all find some comfort in the condolence messages, from so many people- near and far.

I first met Ronan in Dubai via our mutual friends Lou and John. Always up for a laugh, a drink and brunch. We caught up again last year in Cyprus, many laughs and memories shared. Ronan would say ‘let’s go for a potter’ as we disappeared to go shopping. I will always remember Ronan when I wear those sunnies purchased on one of our potters.

God bless you, Ronan. I know you’ll be toasting us, as much as we are to you. I’ll be looking for the brightest star shining tonight. RIP. xxx
