I've worked with Ronan for coming up to 12 years as an external adviser. Ronan always knew what he wanted, but he never let that get in the way of professionalism or courtesy - even when I was very junior delivering he would give me the time of day - and he was a pleasure to work with. He challenged me and helped me improve in my own career. His energy and drive were inspiring, even as he was increasingly unwell.

I was so sad to hear of Ronan’s passing and my thoughts go out to his mum, wife, kids and extended family. I knew Ronan from BESS at Trinity and he was a total gentleman. Kind, funny with an easy smile that would always find the time to laugh at my bad jokes. No doubt the lads you mention in the notice are the same ones from that time - Ciaran, Stephen and Conal. A super close knit group. My heart goes out to them too at this very difficult time.

I was lucky enough to know Ronan during my time in TCD - between him, Jake and Kinger - the 3 amigos helped me realize that my prejudices against Blackrock boys (mainly due to regular trouncing at schools rugby) were unfair and they could be good craic - none more so than Ronan - RIP mate

I was deeply shocked. Although I didn't have the chance to work with Ronan for long, I will always remember the small moments we shared. I know this is an incredibly difficult time for the family, and my thoughts are with you all. Rest in peace, Ronan.

I feel a need to confess some responsibility for his lycra fetish, and we would regularly discuss his cycling gear and how he could spend more on it. Most days we would have a little laugh about that and office life. He really will be sorely missed.

I am so sorry to hear the news of Ronan's passing. I was lucky to work with Ronan over the past several years on lots of CoSec and share plan matters. Though sadly we never met in person, I enjoyed speaking to Ronan on video calls and over emails; Ronan was always clear, precise and very well respected by us and his colleagues. He was always kind, professional and hardworking - I was always happy to hear from him. My thoughts really go out to his family and Experian colleagues, he will be greatly missed but he will, of course, also be remembered very fondly.

I am so sorry for the loss of Ronan. My heart goes out to all his friends and especially to his family. It's so hard to lose someone, and when they are young it's harder still. While I retired from Experian over 9 years ago, Ronan's impact to me is top of mind. Personally, every single experience with Ronan was highly positive. He knew his stuff and was so professional. Ronan's advice and direction was well reasoned and sound. He was quite the gentleman who possessed a wonderful sense of humor. I always enjoyed working with Ronan.
