Ronan Maguire

I wish to express my condolences to Ronan's family. He was a gentleman and was always a pleasure to deal with in the Coroner's Court. May he rest in peace.

I was so saddened to hear of Ronan’s passing, and I am truly sorry that I was not able to be with you all at the time of your sorrow. I also apologise for the delay in sending my condolences — I found myself at a loss for words, as grief has a way of stirring places within us that we struggle to fully comprehend.

I am deeply sorry for the heartbreaking loss of your husband, father, grandad and friend. My own family held Ronan in the highest regard, and my father treasured his friendship deeply.

Though I could not stand with you in your hour of need, please know that you have been very much in my thoughts and prayers.

May your beloved Ronan rest in peace, and may the memories you hold so dearly continue to keep his presence alive in your hearts.

A distinguished past student of De La Salle College, Ronan gave back so much to the College in his capacity as Chairperson of the Board of Management. During his thirteen years as Chairperson, he would oversee a period of great change and development: a change of patronage, a period when the college curriculum was expanded, enrolment significantly increased and facilities enhanced. His calm leadership was imbued with an innate sense of fairness and the welfare of the students was paramount in his decision-making.

To Niamh, Ciara, Cillian, Shane and David,
My heartfelt condolences on the untimely passing of your beloved dad and husband, Ronan. It was a privilege to serve with him on the Board of Management of De La Salle College during his time as Chairperson.
Ronan was practical and fair, with a great sense of humour, and he guided us through many challenging moments with calm, steady leadership.
I distinctly remember attending a meeting when he was beaming with delight at the arrival of his new grandson, Jack! A prouder man you could not meet!
I’m also certain our meetings would have been much longer were it not for Ronan’s great love of Man United.

So sad to hear of Ronans passing.We had some great times when Ronan was in the Dundalk round table and i was in the Laytown/Bettystown round table. Always ready to help people and always up for the Craic. A really nice person who cared about everyone he met. May you rest in peace my friend , it was a pleasure to have know you.
