Sincerest condolences to Claire and Clodagh on Ronan's sad passing. He was one of life's bright lights and a shining beacon who guided everyone around him. A focal point of warmth and sincerity, his honesty of character and generosity of spirit were boundless. Ronan leaves a huge legacy extending far beyond his body of scientific discovery, but oscillates in the hearts and minds of all those lucky enough to have known him in any capacity. May he rest in peace.

Deepest Sympathy to all the O Dowd family with whom we grew up in Tubbercurry.Ronan RIP was a great favourite, gentlmanly quiet with a quick wit adored by us Mc Carrick girls.What fun we used to have.

Very sorry to hear of the untimely passing of Ronan. Our deepest condolences to Claire, Clodagh and the extended family. Ronan was a true gentleman. Both myself and Niamh will always be grateful for his generosity and support both in college and afterwards in Tsunami Photonics.
