Ronan O'REGAN

Dear Deirdre, Ruth and Anthony, it was with great sadness that Caroline and I learned of Ronnie's death. Our deepest sympathies to you and all the family on his passing. We will miss him. He was a great friend and mentor. He was also a great leader in the Faculty of Medicinal UCD and has left such a legacy, including the setting up of Penang Medical College in which he involved us so thoughtfully. He inspired us "Young Turks" in the 80's and 90's especially. He supported us in our medical careers. He had such a great sense of wry humour and his friendship was so important to us. I smile fondly when I see him now in my mind's eye. Rest in Peace dear Ronnie. Denis and Caroline.

Please accept my sincere condolences. Ronnie was a great companion and mentor to me when we worked together with The Joseph P Kennedy Foundation in the establishment of the UCD Centre for Disability Studies.
