Thinking of you Mary Shirley April Fayth and Norman and sending lots of love. He was mischievous and funny. Standing outside church he'd say 'well Dee' ... hands in his pockets looking at the ground....to which the response was 'well Ron'....and he'd laugh.
A great family man!
Sincere sympathy to you Mary and all the family. Hugs. De

Dear Ronnie,
I will look for you in the fields of "Uskane". I can now see you amongst your cattle. You stand, look at them as they stroll by. You stand still, loudly clapping your hands together, they quickly turn, stare at you as you walk beside them, putting your hands on their back. They were your pride and joy.
I see you as we walk together amongst the ancient chestnut trees, down our Avenue at "Uskane", it was where you loved so well.
I'll talk and ask you where you are??
I'll find you in the garden, in the cattle sheds at Oldcourt, the yards but most of all in the eyes of our four children, Shirley, Norman, April and Fayth.
I'll search for your humour even in the darkest days.
My darling Ronnie, my heart is forever tied to yours.
I will miss you forever.
Mary

Memories of my Dad
Dad was a great family man we all fondly remember our trips to France. We would pack the Isuzu Super Trooper with T-bone steaks and hit the road. He loved firing up the barbeque, we dined like kings together under the summer sun
On Sundays he would bring us to Church incentivised by strawberry milkshakes afterwards and our weekly visit to see Granny and Grandad.
He was a colourful character and had no fear, on one of our trips to France he decided it would be fun to attend the local bullfight. True to his cattleman credentials he hopped into the ring and faced the bull down.
He lived for the mart and craic he had with all his buddies hatching a plan or discussing the trade.
He loved the road, he spent his whole life since he was a young boy at the fair in Borris with his Dad, travelling the length and breadth of Ireland in his famous Iveco cattle lorry.
He loved bringing his family herding on a Sunday afternoon he instilled in us his same love of cattle. We all needed to be able to judge a U or R grade heifer and whether she was fit for the factory.
Mary was his true love they went everywhere together and loved each other so much. The toughest part of losing Dad is that they cannot be together to support each other anymore.
Mammy we will all carry Dad with us in our hearts until we meet again.
Goodbye for now Dad we'll miss you X
