Ronnie Fitzgibbon

My deepest sympathies to all the Fitzgibbon family on Ronnie's passing.

I will remember him very fondly from our training days at the harbour. He was a giant of a presence whether in the scuba yard or out on board the dive boat. Always calm but always watchful of the trainees and ready to guide and intervene when required, while still encouraging learning, and always with a glint in the eye! He will be missed.

I was saddened to hear this recent news.

I have very fond memories from my childhood & early teenage years with so many of the Fitzgibbon family.

I recall the beloved late brother of Ronnie, Alan Fitzgibbon, introducing me into that part of your large family clan in Oakpark... during some construction of a house...(if I'm correct). It was a long, hot summer in the 1980's. Happy innocent times days they were.

My sincere condolences go out to you all at what I definitely know is a dreadfully sad time.

Ronnie was a multitalented man in life both at land and sea.

I have the loveliest memories of our diving training days at the Maharees with Ronnie and his team and a subsequent diving trip to Jamaica.
Ronnie was a superb diving instructor, always hugely encouraging to beginners and he always put safety first.
