I fondly remember Ronnie. We worked in the same building in IGB for many years where he was rightly very much respected. Thank you for sharing him with us.
Sincere sympathies from the members of Newlands Golf Club on the very sad passing of Ronnie to the Nolan family. Ronnie made a great contribution to the Club over many years. He was a very popular member and we have great memories of him and Fran. He will be sadly missed by his many friends in Newlands.

I was a huge Rovers fan in the 70’s, regularly bunking over the back wall into Milltown. When I played for UCD Ronnie was coach and mentor. He was a kind, gentle person with a deep understanding of football. My respect for Ronnie knows no bounds and we have lost a legend of Irish soccer. Last night at Tallaght he got a rousing standing ovation. Ar dheis Dé a raibh a h-anam uasal

My deepest condolences to Bernadette, Ronnie, Anna, Paula and Dermot on big Ronnie passing. He was a person apart and for those of us who soldiered with him during his time with Bank of Ireland FC he brought us on a trip of a lifetime. Decent and kind and above all someone of the highest integrity. Of course always there beside him was the love of his life Fran who provided him with so much support. They were a match made in heaven. Nothing was ever too much trouble to both of them, on one occasion they provided me with board and lodgings after suffering a serious leg injury, the ‘kids’ had to double up for those nights! A belated thank you. May Ronnie rest in peace.
Sincere condolences to the Nolan family on Ronnies very sad passing. It was an honour to have played with him. May he rest in peace

My sincere condolences to Ronnie’s family on his sad passing. As a League of Ireland supporter many years ago I remember seeing Ronnie playing in Dalymount, Tolka Park & Milltown and little did I know then that I would be working closely with him years later when he came to coach and manage the Bank of Ireland Soccer Club. UCD’s loss was our gain as it proved to be a very successful period for our Club during those years and we had many great times both on and off the field. Ronnie and Fran always attended our social events and fully participated in the Club’s activities. He was highly respected by all and a thorough gentleman. May he rest in peace. Larry Brady BOI F.C.
Ronnie was our coach in UCD AFC in the 70s, responsible for any success we achieved. More than a successful coach, he was a wonderful person. Ronnie was full of wisdom and good advice, always good humoured and entertaining. He was very generous and patient, regularly bringing four of us to and from training and matches. Sincere sympathies to all his family.
Ronnie was a wonderful coach, mentor and friend to us in our days in U.C.D. He was a great storyteller and shortened many's the journey for us with tales of the great characters from the League of Ireland during his playing days. So sorry to hear of his passing. Sincerest condolences to all his family.

I wish to convey my deepest condolences and sympathies to the famiiy and friends of the late Ronnie. As a former colleague of his in the I.G.B., I knew Ronnie, not just as the football legend that he surely was, but as an absolute gentlemen, and an honour to know. May he Rest in Peace.
0ur deepest sympathy to the Nolan family on the sad passing of Ronnie, may he rest in peace. He was a legend in Irish football as a key member of Shamrock Rovers teams which won six consecutive FAI cup finals and playing for Ireland against England in a world cup qualifier at Dalymount Park many years ago. He was a very good friend to me and proposed me for membership of Newlands for which I'll be forever grateful. He is now reunited with Fran the love of his life.

Condolences to all of Ronnie's Family. I worked with Ronnie in I.G.B. and enjoyed lots of football chats with him. As a Rovers supporter I was delighted to play with him for the Fitting Shop team in the I.G.B. inter-department competition. The word "legend" is often greatly over-used, but not in this case, R.I.P. Ronnie.

Dear Ronnie jnr and all the family. Sorry to hear the news. Your Dad was a lovely man and remembered by many as a great irish footballer. Sympathies and thoughts with you at this time. John
Have just heard the sad news from Jane Keogh, Shay's daughter, and good friend of mine...Ronnie was one of my boyhood heroes, along with Liam Hennessy, Liam Tuohy, Paddy Ambrose, Shay Keogh and that wonderful Rovers team of the Fifties...Sadly, I cant be there with his family on Saturday to take part in his Funeral Mass as I have a Funeral Mass myself in Francis Street at 12 on Saturday..but I will be there in spirit.. Ronnie and that great team lit up my boyhood. 2 nil down against Cork Athletic in the 1956 Cup Final with 13 minutes to go, Rovers came back to win 3-2 and Ronnie scored the winner. God rest you Ronnie and all the others..You were the real deal!!!
Deepest condolence to Ronnies siblings and his family .May he Rest in eternal Peace .
Sincere condolences Bernadette to you and your family on the passing of your dad. May he rest in peace.
Very sad but a great servant to football. Ronnie managed us in UCD 40 years ago but the thrill for me was that I was also a great rovers fan. Legend .
Sincerest condolences to Dermot & all the family. Thinking of you all at this sad time.
