Ursula, there are of course no words that can truly describe the void that your wonderful talented son, Rory, has left in your life and the lives of the many people who knew him, admired him, and loved him. He will live on in the fond memories of his many friends and in the legacy of wonderful music he composed. Music says things when words fails us. He was a credit to you, and always will be. I wish you every strength for the future.

Dear Ursula, I am deeply sorry for your loss and wish you strength during this difficult time. Rory was many things—among them, an immensely talented musician, a loving son, and a caring friend. But above all, he was a remarkable person who touched the lives of many. I was a student of Rob R.I.P. and I have the loveliest memories of him being overjoyed at Rory's birth. Unfortunately I never knew Rory but I did meet him once when he was very little when Rob brought him to a rehearsal.

I am very honoured and priviliged to have been there at so many pivotal points of Rory's life. I have such fond memories that include listening to him singing the Beatles songs as a young boy, celebration trips to Kinsale and indeed the garden as well as his many brilliant performances from CADA to his outstanding Masters show in June.

It was a pleasure to see Rory grow into the wonderful young man he became. Rory had not just an amazing intellect and musical and theatrical ability, he was also very kind, funny, humble and loyal. We shall all miss him so much, his loss is so very sad. He was a special young man. So, so shocked and saddened to hear just today of Rory's untimely passing. We only spoke briefly on the day we were filming with Rory and his fellow students at CSM, but what a fine mannerly, handsome, talented young man with a beautiful smile.
