In my first training session at Renmore Afc he welcomed me and made me feel very comfortable telling me I'm a good player and told me to join because I wasn't so sure if I was going to join or not. He gave me the confidence to join which I did, I grew to know Rory and quickly became my favourite team mate. Rest in peace a true gentleman Rory.

Today we put to rest a pure gentleman, who showed such fierce determination and strength through the past few years. It was an absolute honour to have the time to get to know Rory and Laura. A truly beautiful couple with such love for each other. We had good days and bad days.. but we were always sure of a smile and warm welcome from Rory no matter what was about to happen.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Kevin, Lynda, Aodhna, Laura, Maureen and all Rory’s extended family through this extremely difficult and sad time. I am truly grateful to have been there with you throughout this journey, Rory will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. He is part of our family ❤️ May Rory’s gentle and kind soul RIP xxx
