Rory O’Toole

Rory was a very special person. Always friendly and kind with a great smile on his face. He was obliging and always willing to help out.
He had a great attitude and I will always remember Rory's generosity with his time. Also the day I drove him to Ballina and back to a cancelled rugby game.
Rest in peace Rory you were a great person.

Rory was a total gentleman who loved Connemara and worked there in different capacities. He was always helpful and considerate. There was not a lazy bone in his body.
For us in Connemara Rugby he was a tireless worker who helped immensely in the purchase of extra lands for the future enjoyment of countless young Connemara children.
There was one Rory who is sorely missed by all who knew him and loved him.
The last time I met Rory before he passed away, I thanked him for all he did for the Rugby club, he just smiled and said "we did our best"!

Shocked to hear this news. I worked with Rory for a couple of years in EJ Kings. We had great chats, real proper talk. And so many laughs. For as long as I have lived in Clifden, since 2001 I knew Rory for his kind and friendly manner, for his wit! and always willingness to help. I always felt he spoke words of wisdom...of which you could learn much. We are especially grateful for his kindness to our family and Aisling when she worked in Supervalu.
We will always remember him with fondness.
I enjoyed the general banter with him in the shop and chats about his little granddaughter Ayda, of whom he was so proud.
