I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Rory. He was always kind to me since I joined the association. He was very knowledgeable (he even spoke some Japanese to me) and full of life experiences, including officiating at the Special Olympics.

Dear Anna I’m so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Rory. I am still in shock he was such a gentleman and so highly thought about in Carrickmines. He was always a mine of information and so interesting to talk to after our Saturday game. He will be sorely missed. Sorry I was not able to get to the funeral today, I’ve come down with a bad cold. I would like to express shock and sadness on the untimely passing of our great friend Rory. On behalf of the CCLTC Tennis-At-Ten group, I would like to offer our sincere condolences to his wife Anna and his family on the passing of a great husband and Dad. Apart from the weekly games of Tennis, played over many years, the discussions afterwards on Saturday mornings over coffee were memorable. Usually 'chaired' by Rory, he had a remarkable ability to give informed observations and overviews on a diverse range of topics and current affairs of the day. He will be sadly missed.

Dear Gordon and all of the Wilson family my sincere condolences on the loss of your Dad may he rest in peace.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Rory's passing. His smile had the incredible ability to brighten any room. We collaborated on several events in Carrickmines, and his sense of humor and meticulous attention to detail always brought an exceptional standard to the events (one particular Wimbledon event we did he went down to Wexford to check the quality and taste test the strawberries).
He will be greatly missed at the club.

I am deeply sorry to hear about Rory’s passing. My memories of Rory range from meeting him at all the house parties when we were teenagers, to socialising with him in the tennis club. He was the life and soul of Carrickmines, whether it was playing a major part in running the tournaments or organising the legendary summer barbecues. Rory brought his good-hearted fun-loving personality with him wherever he went.
