Dear Joe and family, we are deeply sorry to hear about the death of Rosaleen, our deepest sympathies are with you and your children and grandchildren at this time, may she rest in peace. My sister Mary let us know the sad news yesterday, so we were at least able to join you and the family at her mass. It was a beautiful mass and Philip gave a lovely insight into her life. We feel terrible that we couldn’t be with you today as you have always been so good at attending our family gatherings. We send our love to you all and hope to meet in happier times. Us Byrnes were with you online. Phillip's wonderful eulogy brought me to smiles and tears. Yes, Rosaleen and Dolly were somewhat of an institution at O'Briens, such was their friendship, deep and enduring. The fabric of that era is now passed with Rosaleens death, and weren't we lucky to have these lovely ladies in our lives?

Rosaleen and Dolly are watching over us now and enjoying a more ethereal coffee and enormous pavlova.....guiltfree.
