Dear David, Graham, Sinéad, David, and families,

Please know I am deeply saddened by Rosaleen’s passing. Her battle was real, and she fought it so graciously. Hold each other close — she loved you all so much; you were her world.

It has taken me time to find the strength to put words together. I will miss her immensely. I feel so proud and fortunate to have had Rosaleen in my life over the years. Her beautiful nature was truly unique, and I fondly considered her a dear friend — so gentle and kind.

My memories of her, from childhood onwards, will stay with me forever. Rosaleen always made me feel welcome, no matter how long I’d been away. With her infectious smile and warm hugs, I always knew I was back in Dublin — I will miss those so much.

We shared many stories and laughs over the years, and she had a way of making my troubles feel lighter. Rosaleen radiated positivity and understanding, and her advice was always cherished.

Dearest Rosaleen, may you rest in peace. You are now with your loved ones who have been waiting for you.

So sorry to hear of the sad passing of Rosaleen she babysat for myself and 2 sisters in Hollas St many years ago Herself and Pat thinking of all the family at this sad time 😡

I always felt welcome in the Simon home. Rosaleen had a warm heart and time spent in her presence put mine and many other a mind at ease. She raised a beautiful family and her character was such that it will live on through all those she was close to. I am and will remain very grateful for the impact her life had on mine.

Rosaleen was a warm, funny, thoughtful and kind lady – a gorgeous neighbour. You were all blessed with such a great mam. She loved to cook for you and spoil you. She was SO PROUD of all her children and grandchildren. You all adored her right back. Even through her illness, she never lost the mischievous twinkle in her eyes. I’d say that started at a Ringsend party or two. I’d imagine lovely Rosaleen is enjoying a well deserved, glass of white at a knees up in heaven already. Love to Dave, Graham, Sinead and David 🌹
