It was with great sadness I received notice of Aunt Rose’s passing on from her daughter, my dear Cousin Rosanna.

Sending love for the many happy and joyful memories of our childhood families visiting together in the Summer holidays to Rosanna, Ciaron, Patrick and Terry. I am so sorry you have had to say goodbye to your beloved mother.

Rose was so kind to Rosemary and I throughout our childhood, and then to our children in sad days in Ireland when Rose helped them cope with losing their grandmother and grandfather, who were her of course her own sister Maureen and her brother in law John Spence.

All the Toye family send love and sincere condolences to the Gaynor family. It is hard to lose such a vibrant, loving, fiercely loyal to family, leader.

For Rose was indeed a true leader showing the way to always be your best, to always look your best and find the sunshine in a gloomy day. I recall her fabulous statement hats framing an attentive, caring and expressive face throughout so many family gatherings. Her strong personality shone through in her fierce belief colour should always be in any ladies’ outfit.

That joyful vibrancy sure made her hard to miss in a crowd. But it was her warmth and caring for others that really made her shine. Rose faced challenges of course, Life is never all sunshine…..she will be sorely missed, truly.
