We were so sorry to hear of Rose’s passing. She and Paddy were such warm and kind neighbours in Stanford Green, and I will always remember her kindness and the warmth she showed in those moments when she stopped for a chat with us. She will always be remembered with great fondness by the Whelan family.

Ah bless Rose. She had a long battle and is at peace now. You always will miss her presence and be thankful for the mother and father who loved you all and cared for you all so well.
I have so memories baby sitting.
One memory that stands out is when I was 13.
It was heavily snowing and when your parents came home they had a snowball fight on the green.
I was looking out the window and thinking ‘How romantic I hope I will be lucky enough to marry and have
such a loving and fun relationship.

My sincere condolences to the Hughes family on the death of their dear mum. Rose was such a lovely person. I enjoyed our chats when I’d meet her out locally or in the Halfway House on a social occasion. In latter years I would get the opportunity to talk to her while visiting my brother in the Lexington. Her loss will be felt by many.
