Sincere condolences to Rosemary's family and friends. It was an honour to be Rosemary's friend as she was an incredible inspiration to all who knew her. Rosemary was one of a kind and she will be sadly missed. May she rest in peace.
When I first met Rosemary, in 2002, I told her it was a pleasure to MEET her. Through the Think Awareness TY Driving Programme, the students from De La Salle, Dundalk, learned so much and the roads of Dundalk, Louth and further afield are safer as a result of Rosemary's work, ably assisted by Keane and the rest of the team in Goff's. Gradually, over the next eighteen years, short chats became longer ones, graduated to one-shot cappuccinos in Johnstown and would finally take place over all-too-rare glasses of red in the Horseshoe Bar, where the world of motoring, politics and everything else would be put to rights. And then, the stories!! I had been aware of the legend but came to know the person; professional, dedicated, caring, funny and giving. I am so sorry I cannot be there on Monday to say farewell as she embarks on her final drive. I will wear pink in her honour. My condolences to all of Rosemary's friends and family. It has been my honour to KNOW her.
Deepest and sincere sympathy to Rosemary's family and friends. The term "legend" may be overused nowadays but Rosemary certainly was one. During my childhood in the 1960's and 70's she was a an icon and household name. She was a total inspiration to me combining glamour and trailblazing, completely ahead of her time. I have a sister called Rosemary and a neighbour used always refer to her as "Rosemary Smith". May she rest in eternal peace.
Many great memories of you Rosemary from those school days to meeting you awhile ago . I'll never forget all good times together.

Rest in peace Rosemary...
It was a pleasure knowing you, always a lovely lady. Remembering some great parties over the years. May you Rest in Eternal Peace.
RIP Rosemary. You are a legend who entertained the world of motoring. Thank you for being the International Rootes racing ambassador for many decades. You will be missed !
