I have only heard of rowena passing today I was a patient in tallagh hospital in February this year we shared a ward together we had lovely chats may your gentle soul rest with the Angels in heaven Ro God bless from your crib mate Maria x x

I had the immense pleasure of having Rowena as my hospital buddy for only a few days and realised we know a fellow teacher from her old school. I only heard she died and felt the need to express my condolences.
As visitors weren’t allowed we had some really lovely chats , she had an aura of kindness and gentleness that I didn’t forget when I left the hospital .
Most of all she spoke so lovingly of her family and her little grandchildren who she adored . She was so determined to fight her illness but sadly it wasn’t to be.
I hope the family has some comfort in knowing how much she fought to try to be there for her family .
May she rest in peace.

So shocked to hear of Rowena’s untimely death. Rowena was so kind to me when I started my teaching practice in Old Bawn and was so welcoming to me and my family when we moved to Celbridge. She was truly a sincere, genuine, giving and talented person. My deepest condolences to Niamh and Andrew and to the extended Cunningham and Campbell families on your dreadful loss.

It was with great sadness that I heard of Rowena's passing. I remember her as a beautiful and gentle lady with a bohemian aura. She was a lovely neighbour to have had in Crodaun. I met Rowena for the first time last December on a show we worked on together. Such a lovely person and such a wonderful presence in the room. Terribly sorry to hear of her passing. May she Rest In Peace and my condolences to all her friends and family.

Deepest condolences to Niamh and Andrew on the death of your beautiful mam Rowena. I came to know Rowena at the start of the Pandemic when we both got involved in "Aiding Local Heroes " a community initiative set up to sew masks and scrubs for care facilities. Rowena was generous to a fault in sharing her incredible skills as a seamstress, going as far as making a demo video to share with those of us not so proficient at sewing and giving us step by step instructions on producing a quality mask. We subsequently met on occasion on the Green at Aghards while out walking our dogs and wonderful spontaneous chat was a given. Rowena, a beautiful person with a beautiful heart. Her loss to the world is immense. May She Rest in Peace.
