Maura and all the Culligan family. I am so very sorry for your loss. I have lovely memories of Roy and his great smile, especially when we were in Tanzania. He was a gentleman who left this earth too soon.

Dear Maura and Jonathan,
I was really shocked to hear that Roy died. It seems like only yesterday you and Jim brought him to Moshi Tanzania to attend International School Moshi and we introduced him to Mama Andreocci, who let rooms to students living away from home. from home. Over the years, I got to know him well as his IB teacher of English and as a friend to our own teenagers Owen, Evelyn and Michael.
He knew he could always pop in unannounced, if he needed to hear an
Irish accent and he was of course always. welcome. Without a shadow of a doubt, I can say that Roy was a truly lovely person, gracious and
respectful and up for fun. Many is the laugh we had and I can see it all like yesterday and it makes me so sad.

I first met Roy a few years ago in Thailand.
The Beach is not an easy place to reach, or even to move around on day to day, but there was Roy, challenging himself every day and truly enjoying the benefits - something I sense he had done all his life.
A truly remarkable character who provided great wit, wisdom, inspiration and joy (and great tunes for the playlist!) - he literally enriched wherever he was present. Of course, he will be missed by all fortunate enough to spend time in his company, and even more so by those who shared it the most.

To Roy’s family, dearest friends, and of course Rey, I send my sincerest condolences. I cannot begin to imagine your grief, but I hope that, in time, you find the strength to celebrate him often, as we will too.

Dear Maura, Jonny, Yvonne and Lillian,

I just wanted to offer you all my sincere condolences at this very difficult time. I knew Roy when he lived in London and you could not have wished to meet a more warm, charismatic, funny guy. He was the life and soul of any party and would always have us in stiches with his anecdotes.

He will undoubtedly be sorely missed by you all, but he touched so many lives in such a positive way whilst here and that is a real testament to the man he was. May he rest in peace and please be assured, our lives are definitely all much richer for having had him in them.
