Deeply saddened to hear of Roy’s passing. He was my primary school teacher for a couple of years at Congress Avenue and made a lasting impression on me during those formative years. Roy was a great man with a wonderful outlook on life, and he taught me a great deal at an impressionable age. He will be hugely missed.

I had the great pleasure of working with Roy in St Mary's BNS, Congress Avenue. A true gentleman and a great mentor. The Christmas Carol service was the highlight of the school year! Roy was my 5th and 6th class teacher in the mid 80's, I blame him for my taste in a vast array of music. We would always know when he was in good form when he wore his polar neck and leather jacket. He opens our eyes to science, music and art. My he rest in peace.

Very sorry to hear of Roy's passing. I have great memories of Christmas Carol services in St. Mary's as well as weekly choir performances at mass.
