Our deepest sympathy to Pam and the extended family on the death of Roy. A great friend for many years, a compatriot in the BB, also in Clontarf Athletic - noted for stopping many a ball, and a companion in the Yacht on Saturday nights (before drink driving became a menace!). A man who gave his all no matter what he put his energies into. A family man who cared deepely about all his children and backed them in all their ambitions. Great loss.
My condolences to the family at this sad time. I worked with Roy over a long period in Irish Lights. His friendly yet professional approach was well respected throughout the organisation. A true gentleman, as many others have mentioned, I will remember his smile.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Roy! Most of my Sunday afternoon teenage years were spent hanging around the kitchen table with you all and I always enjoyed being allowed to sit there. I'm sad to hear about Roy as I have such great memories.

Pam & Margery - we are so sorry to hear of Roy's passing and that we could not attend the funeral. We have great memories of our time in Clontarf particularly in relation to the the 5th Comp GB and the 12th Comp BB. Also of playing Badminton in the Old Parish Hall and of course playing soccer in Greenlanes for Clontarf Athletic Football Club of which Roy was a Founding Member. A true gentleman and an overall good sport.
Sincere condolences to the Watts family on the sad passing of Roy. A thorough gentleman and a boyhood hero of mine. Roy”fifty”Watts as we younger lads knew him had a big Triumph 350/500 when we had mopeds! Roy always had time for a chat and would let us marvel at his big motorbike.
