I was fortunate to know Ruth for many years as our journeys around HSBC overlapped. She was a constant source of positive energy, a thoughtful and insightful colleague - and best of all, a wonderful drinking buddy!

She'll be sadly missed and impossible to replace.

Best wishes to all freinds and family - you must miss her.
We just heard this sad news yesterday..you are in our thoughts..
Dear Kieran
I read about your sister's tragic death on the St Laurence College website and wanted to offer my condolences. We all missed you at our class of '89 Reunion in July '09 (hard to believe it was 20 years then) but just to say, despite the passing years and the fact we haven't met since leaving school, my thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time.
Take care
Aisling
My deepest condolences to Ruth's family and loved ones... I was a few days away from meeting Ruth here in Mexico City through a mutual friend and when the tragic news came, I was shocked and saddened. Nothing but wonderful thoughts and memories are being shared and remembered about her, a friend to all and much loved colleague at the bank..
Sincerely, Louise Phelan (from Limerick, now living in Mexico City)
Ruth left a very very huge empty space in our institution... she was always smiling, and listening to whatever an employee liked to ask or know... very unique, positive unique in that such singular kind of hsbc directives... we are going to really miss her...
