We have lovely memories of our Mum , Nanna Walsh looking after you all as children and how kind and lovely Ruth was to our Mum, Ruth was a very special person, may God grant her eternal rest, Mary and Walsh family

Aisling, Fenton and Daryl. I had the pleasure of having Ruth as
a close friend for 50yrs ,40 of those as a teaching colleague in St. Mary's college. I remember making a speech at Ruth and Harry's wedding in Donegal in 1973 . Many lovely tributes have been paid to Ruth, she was a lady, kind and compassionate, a truly great Teacher, one past pupil said she had an " Aura ", great presence and great style, she was all of that and much more. Ruth epitomized all that was good about St. Mary's, she was a real ambassador and a great friend. I pray that the memories you have of a wonderful mother will help you through these difficult sad times. Kieran

I was so saddened to hear of the death of Ruth. She was a lovely lady, a wonderful and inspirational teacher. She inspired in me a great love of the English language and literature. She instilled in me an understanding and appreciation of European, World and Irish History. I will never forget her kindness to me as a teenager and young adult . A great role model and teacher.
