I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Sam’s passing.
Sam was a wonderful neighbour and especially looked after my father Jackie Doyle through his difficult times. He played a huge part in Jackie’s funeral after a difficult encounter with the priest of the time.
We will always remember his kind input for us.
Our thoughts are with his family at this very sad time.

My sincere sympathy to Mary and Family on the passing of Sam. I was shocked and saddened to hear the news. He was a real gentleman and a good and faithful servant of the community of Beaumont.
Sam served on the BRA (Beaumont Residents Association) committee for a number of years and was a wonderful colleague. He was also the BRA Official Santa for many years and delivered presents to the kids and to the seniors at the BRA Christmas parties. He brought so much happiness and good cheer to so many.
I hope Sam now reaps his just rewards.

Very sad to hear of the passing of Sam. He was a true gentleman and we spent many happy years together on the Beaumont Residents Association Committee. His door to door visits every Christmas as Santa were legendary and many families still have great photos of their children awestruck when Santa arrived into their home with selection boxes for them. Great memories of a lovely man. May he Rest in Peace

My deepest condolences to Mary and the family. Sam was a true gentleman and will be greatly missed. The bin shed in Whitehall Church will always bear the name "Sam's Butt Hutt" in his memory. Any time he went out for "some fresh air", you knew where to find him! A lovely, lovely gentleman who would do anything to help anyone.
