Sincere sympathy to Jo, family, in laws, and his many grandchildren on Sam’s recent death. He was a household name “way back“ throughout my entire childhood,who was always referred to as just “Sam” . Sam always had a great sense of humor , was well read, and could discuss any topic trivial or serious, whether it was his high field, the weather, the bog, his many named cats, current affairs, foreign affairs , etc.. I always looked forward to calling to his house, while collecting the dues. I can still recall his fondness for animals especially cats, and of course his classic Volkswagen Beetle cars (usually colored green) It is incredible to believe that his lifelong neighbour & buddie died just 1 week apart after all those decades. Life won’t be quite the same again. RIP
