Sam was such a character, his laughs and smiles will be missed. He always had a kind word to say about everyone. He wouldnt call you by your name, mostly he called you by what town you were from or whatever nickname he came up with for you. I will miss seeing him come up for his morning coffee and having a chat about whatever was happening in the country. My deepest condolences to Sams family. May he rest in Peace

Dear Carmel and all of Sam’s family. We are so very sorry to learn just today of Sam’s passing, he was one of life’s gentlemen. The laughs we used to have with him in Ashley Lodge over the years, in the earlier years doing the crosswords, then the continuing craic with ‘Fr Jack and Sr. Bernadette’, and ‘The King’….a great character! Always a joy to see him, and he always in great form, although in the past few years evidently not the same. Sam with doubt we’ll miss you dearly. May your gentle soul now Rest In Peace. We’re so very sorry Carmel 🙏🏻💔
