What a beautiful service for Sam. It was my privilege to have known him whilst he was in Mount Tabor. A lovely, lovely man who was kind, smart, wise and funny, but most of all he had a steadfast love of the Lord which he told was very important to him and had helped him through difficult times.
My deepest sympathy to his family as they mourn his loss. Best wishes from Jonie

Dear Phyllis,
We are so sad to hear of Sam's death. What a wonderful kind man he was. His influence spread far and long over his 94 years. Lesley often noted how Sam always asked after Sarah when she met him. and when we told Sarah she would light up. We have such warm memories of him over the years. I only knew him a fraction of that time singing in the choir in All Saints. I was always glad to see his warm smiling face and was thankful that he could lead the way in the tenor parts in the more difficult hymns. There are few people whose name brings a smile to people's faces like Sam's. If we could all be half the human being he was we would be giants.
