I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Sam's death and even now it seems sureal. Sam was such a wonderful, kind gentle giant of a man with a huge heart that he wore on his sleeve. He always had an opinion and loved sharing it, we had many chats and laughs and he always brought a smile to my face. He would go out of his way to help you and was always offering his assistance, nothing was too much trouble. As a colleague, I could see how he loved what he did and was always fully commited to getting the job done, I don't know of many people who worked as hard and enthusiastically as he did. We had many work nights out and Sam always turned up suited and booted to the nines with the panache that only he had and when you got a hug from Sam it meant being lifted literally off your feet. A true gentleman and this world will be a lesser place without him. Thank you for the joy and rest in peace Sam, I hope you're sailing away on heavenly clouds. xx

I’m so sorry I was unable to attend in person (I had hoped I could and tried) but I wanted to leave a few words to honour Sam.
Sam was someone you never forgot once you met him — full of character, warmth, and unmistakable presence. He always greeted me with a smile and a kind word, and he had a way of making people feel seen and remembered.
He took great pride in everything he did, worked hard, lived fully, and brought humour and energy wherever he went.
Sam will be remembered for his booming voice, his smile,his laughter, his work ethic, and his gentle spirit.

Sam I will think of u everytime I hear a booming car & A rave mix or a brilliant gangsta suit . You were truly one of a kind. XxxX

Dear Sam, I am so very grateful to have met you in Dunshane all those years ago, when we were still so young. I will never forget the dancing lessons in the great hall. I got a bit scared by your power which was really impressive. It was so much fun. Thank you for making me smile & laugh so often.
