To Thomas & extended Driver family, it is with great sadness we recently learnt of Sam's passing💔..We have great memories of us being next door neighbour in Grange Lawn..Sam would weld late into the night, such a hard working gentleman..Flo, RIP & our Mother,Maura, RIP were great pals & very supportive of one another..Thomas & Austin,RIP were both gentlemen ..please accept our sincere condolences, at this very sad time..

Sam,as we knew him ,
came to Waterford àt the same time as
Mr Jolly ( who came from Drumshambo to killotteran )
&
Mr Harvenson fr Kerry who had his garage opp. Katie Riellys pub
&
Mick Shea,Castletown in his combine Harvester. ? Fr Kerry.
All four men were prosperous
All 'newcomers' created a new culture for the natives,
like my Uncles & Dad,
who were local farmers,
as were the
Anderson's ,
Farrells ,
Browns,&
the Carews.
Sam & Jolly did all reclamation work in d 60's & 70's ---- good hard working men who appreciated Land work contracts ,paid for by the landowners to improve agricultural production.. .
BUT ,
it was those men who were ready for the challenge wit d HiMac machinery &
were they ready !!! ,,,,,,,
long hours,
keeping machinery in order ,
every day of the week.
God doesn't make hard working men like Sam Driver anymore .
May Sam RIP.

& His Wife were difficult as it's was for Thomas.
