Tomas my heart breaks on realising that Sandra has gone home to Jesus - I noticed her absence from Triage in the Mater - after a few weeks in St James's I returned to the Mater yesterday and Sandra wasn’t there. I knew the nurses couldn't tell me anything but we did talk about Sandra. We spoke of her courage, her warm "hello darling " and the fact she never ever complained and also how she always looked so well with her painted nails. Sandra was such a beautiful lady and we had to find out if she might have passed away so we looked up RIP.IE. I cannot stop crying. The last time I met ye Tomas was the big snow and that was the day I discovered ye came all the way from Leitrim. I was always awed by Sandra's strength and resilience but on that day even moreso. She accepted her illness with such dignity and courage. She was incredible, I will never forget her. And Tomas you always looked after her so beautifully. My heart breaks for you, Vakaris and Perla but I am sure Sandra is still very close to you all.

My deepest sympathy to you all on the untimely passing of Sandra. I had the pleasure of working with Sandra in Lidl and her energy, smile and her famous 'Hello Princess' will forever be in my memories-but most importantly her kindness and friendship. May she rest eternally in peace.

I was so saddened to hear of Sandra's passing and wish to extend my deepest and heartfelt condolences to Tomas, Vakaris and Perla, and to Sandra's extended family at this heartbreaking time for them. I have the fondest memories as a Lidl customer in Longford hearing Sandra's signature greeting of "Hello darling!" She was always charming, good humoured and upbeat, with staff and customers alike. Rest in eternal peace, Sandra.
