Dear Adrienne, Peter and Lewis

So very sad to hear about the loss of Scott. Sending gentle hugs and heartfelt sympathy to you all.

Words will never be able to either capture the extent of Scotty’s warmth, wit and intelligence all baked into a strong but thoughtful personality, nor the sorrow felt at his departure.

Scotty and I met in-between Covid lockdowns, when we shared a flat in London. During that time I got introduced to a side of London I had never seen such as historical medieval enclaves completely hidden, right off tourists’ paths (with explanations worthy of a history lecturer). Another worthy exploration was that of the Ritz cigar room, as Scotty had rightfully suggested celebrating there some of our trading profits with a cigar and a Scotch.

Scotty’s analytical mind and intelligence were unmatched. He was able to understand subjects at an expert level and link them together with the greatest ease, almost as a second nature. His achievements highlighted a wisdom and maturity well beyond his youth.

Scotty was also one of the most honest and straight-talking friends I have had, as he would never hesitate to give you the proper advice, even if it was not always pleasant to hear, but was always valid as he truly cared.

To quote Aragorn, one of Scotty’s favourite characters from Lord of the Rings, deeds will not be less valiant because they are unpraised. Scotty’s valiance remains as contagious as it was inspirational and hopefully will bring light to the days ahead.

Scotty will always be in our thoughts and we will remember him in our prayers.

I remember Scott, Lewis and Will as young boys in the garden at Cherry Cottage playing Track and Field and Star Wars as well as other games all day long.
They would only come in when called to dinner and then straight back out afterwards.
Three lovely boys having such good fun spending their childhood together for many wonderful years. Precious memories that will be with us forever.
Scott was a clever lad with so much potential but was cruelly taken away from us all at such a young age. We are all heartbroken and Scott will be greatly missed
