Seamus was my friend and mentor since he first interviewed me for a position in the HSE in 1999. He was a man of great integrity, exacting standards, devotion to public service, intelligent and enthusiastic, supportive and caring of others, friendly, and all rounded of with a great sense of humor. I will miss him. My deepest sympathy to Susan and family on their great loss.

I was very saddened to learn of Seamus’ untimely death. I first came in contact Seamus almost forty years ago in my work with Cara for the HSE in the South East. Since those early days, it has always been a pleasure to meet with him. My deepest sympathy to the Butler family. May Seamus Rest in Peace.

Deepest condolences to Susan and the Butler family. Seamus was my line manager for many years. He was such a lovely man to work with. Always there, wise, genuine, supportive and knowledgeable, with a good steer when needed and a forensic eye that missed nothing! A wave of sadness has crossed the HSE for a great colleague gone much too soon. I often quote Seamus as do many others and his memory lives on within those of us lucky enough to have worked with him.
