I had the pleasure of teaching Seamus at Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School, Leigh on Sea. He was a very endearing,
cheerful and kind pupil. I was always scared for him as he suffered from haemophilia, worried that he might fall and
need emergency treatment! Seamus was oblivious, unfazed by his problem, and a brave young boy. I remember his wonderful smiley face and his freckles. I had followed his progress in later years by speaking to Peter, but had lost touch and unaware of his move to Ireland. My condolences to his sister and family. May he rest in peace!
It was always a pleasure to meet Seamus and to date bought five of his fantastic Mexican smocks at both Cahirciveen and Ballinskelligs, as well as lovely conversations had.

Most recently my favoutite one via friends only two weeks before we sadly lost him, but having a video chat instead.

Im truly upset by this, and they mean more to me now.

I have a photo of it but sadly can't seem to post it here, possibly one of the last pics of him.

My condolences to his family.
Sending you our deepest sympathies Catherine & Dave, thinking of you all at this incredibly sad & tough time, lighting a candle for Seamus here in Kells Bay. May his gentle soul sleep in heavenly peace 🌹

My Dear Seamus, I will miss you dearly. You are a sweet soul and a person who brought joy into my life as a young man growing up in the early 80s. You could always make me laugh in my darkest hours. We had great adventures just dropping a pin on a map, and the landing point was finding the nearest pub for a pint. Going to Dr. Feelgood gigs and having a thoroughly good time. Watching you play in the Netley Ogs. Carry on camping in 1981 with the gang in Ireland. Thank you for calling me on my birthday and remembering me. That was the last time we spoke and I will treasure that. I know you touched so many lives and you carry a wonderful legacy. May your soul travel to higher levels and live on in our hearts.
Farewell Seamus..

I met Seamus years ago when he was a breakfast chef in the Anchor, and we quickly became friends. Every time I came to Cahersiveen from England, I couldn’t wait to sit down and have a catch up with him. A lovely gentleman; kind, and always made time to go out of his way for you. It won’t be the same coming to the town. I will miss you sadly, and you will always be in my heart and prayers.
