Deepest sympathy to all Jim's family and his many friends on his sad passing. I had the pleasure of knowing Jim all my life as he lived right next to my childhood home in Abbey Street. As kids we all loved his 'cool' red escort car but some of the lads weren't too impressed with the Maurice Mulcahy sticker he decided to put on it....I remember how Jim laughed heartily when the lads told him they loved the car but the sticker had to go....the sticker stayed!! In later years we had a laugh reminiscing over this memory I had of his red car. I have so many fond memories of Jim over the years. He was a wonderful neighbour and a lovely kind man who always greeted you with his warm friendly smile and he always had time for a chat. He was one of life's true gentlemen. May your kind and gentle soul rest in peace Jim.
