Growing up in a pub in Eyrecourt we were always delighted to see the Kelly Brothers coming into the pub. This usually guaranteed a lively session with music (Martin on the accordion), singing, yodelling ect. Many stories were related, always delivered in a quiet, gentle manner. We fondly remember those times.

Sincere sympathy, Thomas, on the passing of Seamus. I was so sorry to hear the news. As children growing up in Meelick, we have lovely memories of the Kellys. On Summer nights, if we were out the back of the house, we'd often hear their music wafting on the breeze across the fields. It was lovely and is now a precious childhood memory of a long gone era. In later years, when Seamus would be home for a few days, he'd sometimes visit our house. He was very interesting and great craic and you could listen to his stories all night.
His likes will not be seen again. May he rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy Thomas. I was very sorry to hear the sad news. I have very fond memories of Seamus and all of the Kellys, from my time growing up in Meelick. One of my earliest memories is of walking across the fields with my mother Peggy, as a very young child, to visit Mrs Kelly and all the cousins . I also recall that, sometimes, if we were up the fields, we would listen to the Kelly brothers singing as they went about their work - we would stand and listen to the yodeling coming from across the ditch. They were truly lovely times. May Seamus rest in peace.
