I am so sad to learn of the passing of Seamus and wish to convey my condolences to his wife Mary and their family and to the extended family and friends . As a fellow Leitrim man, I have such lovely recollections of meeting Seamus at numerous GAA grounds throughout Ireland as we followed the Leitrim senior footballers . Seamus was there in the good days and not so good for the team. He was such a proud Leitrim man and my abiding and warm memory is of his gentle and genuine nature . Ar dheis De go raibh a anam .

I first met him when I arrived to the G District and as a fellow Leitrim he immediately took me under his wing even to the point of sanctioning our first home in Dublin.
