Rip so sad gentle soul
We offer our condolences to the McMahon family on the death of Seamus. I had the pleasure of play music with him down through the years. He was a gentleman.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Last year I met Seamus at the Rainbow ballroom Glenfarne and heard his inimitable guitar sound for my last time.I was in heaven and I hope that Seamus is rewarded for the wonderful dancing experience that he gave us for nigh 60 year's.We had a hall in leitrim that the stage would move back when the crowd built. Needless to say when the Mainliners arrived such was the pressure that the walls ran with sweat that it turned to rain. The sound of that sweet guitar was there that night and we acclaim you Seamus as genius....the Rory of the country sound....never equalled or surpassed. We miss you and grief your passing. Thanks for the memories and for playing in leitrim.
Sorry for your loss
So sad to hear the passing of Seamus McMahon a true gentleman.my condolences to his family .and his brother and sister and relations .and to his mainliners musicians. rip Seamus.
