Diane, Teresa , Joanne, Philip and extended family - I have such very fond memories of him - such a placid, gentle soul, a true Gentleman. Rest easy Seamus x

Very sad to learn of Seamus’ passing and sincere condolences to Diane, Teresa, Joanne, Philip and all the O’Reilly family in Dublin and Cavan. Seamus was a vigorous and lifelong campaigner for social justice and progressive causes. He was a stalwart of Dublin North East and Dublin Bay North Labour Party and an inspirational mentor to myself and other candidates and representatives of the Irish Labour Party. Seamus’ generous and gentle character and his thoughtful and interesting comments on the issues of the day will be deeply missed by all of us who had the privilege of knowing him.
